San Diego-based Current Electrical Contracting is an independently owned company with an emphasis on assisting our customers to acquire and develop sites to build, commission, maintain, upgrade, and operate wireless networks. We provide general contracting and infrastructure services for towers, small cells, and private networks. We work with national and regional wireless carriers like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, DISH, Nexius, Mastec and more. Our mission is to provide quality service to our customers. Sky

Tower Foreman

The Tower Foreman works with the supervisor to achieve scheduling and project goals as determined by management. They must have an expert-level understanding of all aspects of the telecom industry, as they will maintain control of their crew’s production. They verify deliverables for the SOW and identify change orders, possible difficulties, and safety concerns. 

Tower Lead

The Tower Lead assists the Tower Foreman in developing and planning the site build. They need an understanding of the wireless industry and onsite cell tower climbing. Leadership skills are necessary to direct all top side activities. The Lead supports the Foreman when on the ground. They understand color coding, weatherproofing, grounding, and equipment installations.

Associate Electrician

The Associate Electrician works with a licensed Electrician supporting tower site construction crews in installing, maintaining, and decommissioning electrical systems. Working with AC/DC power to assemble and install electrical equipment. All duties must follow federal guidelines and safety standards while maintaining quality, accountability, and on-time scheduling.

RF Engineer

The RF Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing wireless networks, systems, and equipment. Analyzing current systems and looking for opportunities for improvement. They possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within wireless applications and can mentor and lead junior-level engineers.

Superintendent

The Superintendent is responsible for the smooth functions of day-to-day field operations to ensure construction projects are completed on time and within budget. They supervise the activities of crews during the construction operation. The Superintendent should be an experienced tower climber as they are expected to climb towers for quality inspections and training of crew members.

Construction Manager

The Construction Manager posts jobs, interviews, and hires construction team members. They ensure that field personnel are properly trained and prepared for assignments. As managers, they work with the CDT team to meet customer expectations. They maintain and manage the office and warehouse. They provide leadership for the construction team and report on all aspects of the group.

Closeout Specialist

The Closeout Specialist is a detail-oriented individual. They learn and use the client’s systems--uploading project-specific documentation. They communicate all issues to management before reaching critical status and maintain accurate and complete files for projects and programs. They handle closeout documentation across all functional areas to complete successful project delivery.
